Tottenham Hotspur head coach Nuno has told Football.London that Ryan Sessegnon is struggling at the moment.
Nuno made the comments about Sessegnon following the Tottenham youngster’s performance against Pacos de Ferreira at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Europa Conference League qualifying playoff round second-leg tie last night.
Spurs won the match 3-0, thanks to a brace from star striker Harry Kane, to book their place in the group stage of the competition 3-1 on aggregate.
Nuno told Football.London: “I will start with Sessegnon. I think he is struggling, he is struggling. A lot of time out of competition. He has talent.
“He is a player that can give us good things, one vs ones, crossing, he has energy but he did not do all that he has today. I truly believe that he has much more that he can give.”

How did Ryan Sessegnon play?
Sessegnon was deployed on the left of a front-three for Tottenham against Pacos.
The 21-year-old, who can play as a left-winger or as a left-back, was quite busy in the first half in the attacking role and connected well with Bryan Gil, who was playing behind him.
The youngster could not maintain those standards in the second half and was replaced in the 63rd minute.

Sessegnon spent last season on loan at Hoffenheim, and the youngster will be keen on establishing himself in the Tottenham first team this campaign.
Clearly Nuno thinks that the former Fulham man is talented, but the Tottenham head coach wants to see more from him.
We should not forget that Sessegnon is still only 21 and was recently injured for a number of weeks, and there is every chance that he will progress and develop under Nuno in the coming weeks and months.
