Ryan McLaughlin urges his Northern Ireland international teammate and Middlesbrough man Paddy McNair to join Neil Lennon’s Celtic.

Ryan McLaughlin has urged Middlesbrough player Paddy McNair on Instagram to join Celtic in the summer transfer window.
The former Liverpool prospect, now at Rochdale, made the comments for McNair after his Northern Ireland international teammate congratulated Jordan Jones after the winger expressed his delight at completing his move to Rangers.
Jones signed a pre-contract agreement with Rangers in January, and following his departure from Scottish Premiership rivals Kilmarnock, the Northern Ireland international winger has completed his move to Ibrox.
Former Manchester United player McNair – who can operate as a defender or as a midfielder and joined Middlesbrough from Sunderland in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by Gazette Live to be worth £5 million – has congratulated Jones on Instagram, and in response to his message, his Northern Ireland international teammate McLaughlin has urged him to make the move to Neil Lennon’s Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.

According to WhoScored, McNair made seven starts and nine substitute appearances in the Championship for Middlesbrough this past season, providing one assist in the process.
