Would Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers be a better team with John Souttar at Ibrox?
Rangers are one of the biggest clubs in Scotland and in the world and have a massive history, but Ryan McGowan has suggested on social networking site Twitter that there is no reason for Heart of Midlothian star John Souttar to join the Ibrox club.
In a recent feature in The Scottish Sun, it was suggested that Souttar, who can operate as central defender or as a central midfielder, would be a good signing for Rangers and would make Graeme Murty’s side better.
The 21-year-old is one of the best young players in the Scottish Premiership and has been playing well for Hearts this season.
McGowan, though, has suggested on Twitter that there is no need for Souttar to leave Hearts and join Scottish Premiership rivals Rangers.
The 28-year-old Australia international, who can operate as a defender or as a midfielder, was on the books of Hearts from 2008 until 2013 and is now playing for Sharjah FC in the United Arab Emirates.
