Mason has praised South Korea international forward Son for his goal for Tottenham against Manchester United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Thursday evening.

Mason said: “That’s down to mental strength. The top players they put things behind them and Sonny kept making the runs and believing the ball would come to him and he seemed very pleased with the goal in the second half.”

HITC Verdict: Encouraging

In our view, the performance of Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester United on Thursday evening was very encouraging.

Yes, Spurs were 2-0 down at one stage, but Mason’s side came back strongly to draw 2-2.

And Son played his role in Tottenham’s comeback.

The South Korean has not been at his best this season, but he did show some encouraging signs against Manchester United.

Son linked up well with his fellow attacking players, and although there was one big chance that he missed, he did score the equaliser for the North London club.
