Tottenham Hotspur progressed through to the next round of the Champions League after their win against Borussia Dortmund.

Sky Sports pundit Ryan Mason has shared that he is ‘more optimistic’ that Tottenham’s new stadium will be ready by the first or second week of April after hearing ‘a few whispers’.
Former Premier League midfielder Mason would have inside knowledge at the London club because he previously played for them and is currently youth coach at the club.
Spurs recently progressed through to the last eight of the Champions League after they brushed aside Bundesliga outfit Bourissa Dortmund to beat them 4-0 on aggregate on Tuesday night.
Speaking to the Debate Show on Sky Sports Football (05/03/2019 at 10:10 pm), Mason spoke about Spurs’ new stadium and what he knows.
“Yes, I am more optimistic [that it will be ready for the first or second week of April],” Mason told Sky Sports Football. “The feeling, I mean there are a few whispers that potentially it could be.
“More so than I have done previously [that it will be ready this time]. I’m hoping that will be the case. The club in their minds were thinking of the Champions League quarter-finals in their new stadium and hopefully, we are all on track for that and what a great occasion for the football club to be going into the quarter-final of the Champions League in a new stadium.”

Whether Spurs move into their new stadium this season or for the start of the new campaign, either way, it is going to bring a much-needed boost to the club.
Depending on whether they draw home or away first, those knockout matches in the Champions League will take place on the first and the second week of April, with a few Premier League matches sandwiched in between.
On the first week of April, Spurs are scheduled to host Brighton at Wembley before hosting bottom-of-the-table Huddersfield Town six days later.
Either way, if Tottenham can move into their new stadium by the time a ball is kicked in the last eight of Europe’s biggest competition then it will give them a huge boost in progressing through to the semi-finals.
