Tottenham Hotspur are top of the Premier League table for the first time in six years.
Not since August 2014 have Spurs been flying high at the summit of England’s top flight.
But their slender win away to West Bromwich Albion this afternoon has put Jose Mourinho’s side back on top.
Tottenham rode their luck and ultimately forced the winner when Harry Kane glanced home a header on 88 minutes.

Do Tottenham have what it takes to go all the way and win the Premier League for the first time?
It’s early days but these scrappy results do bode pretty well for their chances.
If Liverpool had won this game, scoring a winner in the last two minutes, it’d be said that the Reds showed the hallmark of champions, which is true.
But the same is true if Tottenham win ugly and it’ll be fascinating to see how much better Mourinho’s troops can get.
