Tottenham Hotspur interim-manager Ryan Mason has told Football.London that Gareth Bale is still a world-class player.
Mason, who has been placed in charge of Tottenham until the end of the season following the sacking of Jose Mourinho, has raved about Bale.
The Wales international winger returned to Spurs on loan from Real Madrid in the summer of 2020.
The 31-year-old winger struggled to play regularly when Mourinho was the manager, but he scored against Southampton in the Premier League in midweek.
According to WhoScored, Bale has scored six goals and provided two assists in seven Premier League starts and scored three goals and gave one assist in seven Europa League starts for Spurs this season.
Mason told Football.London about Bale: “Gareth is a world class player. He still is, regardless of his age and regardless of many different things. He hasn’t lost and won’t lose that ability to find the back of the net.”

Bale has not been at his best for a while now, although it must be considered that he has had injury problems.
However, when the winger has played, he has not always been great. The Welshman still has the talent and the quality, but the question is whether he can create moments of magic on a consistent basis.
