Tottenham Hotspur interim-manager Ryan Mason has raved about Harry Kane to Football.London.

Mason, who was appointed as the Tottenham manager until the end of the season following the sacking of Jose Mourinho, has said that no one at Spurs under-appreciates Kane.

The 29-year-old played with Kane when he was a player, and the Spurs interim-manager has said the 27-year-old striker still wants to improve.

Mason told Football.London about Kane: “I love Harry and everyone loves Harry here and he’s one of the most professional guys I’ve ever come across. As a player, he was amazing to be around. Yes, he’s one of my best mates but at the moment, seeing him work it’s no different to what I’ve seen over the past 15 years.

“He gives 100 per cent commitment in every moment. He wants to learn, he wants to improve and I think that’s why you’ve seen him remain so consistent over the past five or six years in his goalscoring and performances.

“Yes he’s one of the best but he’s always wanting to learn and improve his game. He works at his game and there’s no doubt Harry is one of the best in the world.”

Mason’s comments about Kane are hugely encouraging indeed. They show that the 27-year-old still wants to better himself and add more facets to his game.

The England International is one of the best strikers in the world and is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League.

However, Kane still wants to do better and do more. This shows the mentality that the striker has.

There is no surprise then that this season Kane has evolved as a footballer. The striker now creates chances, drops deep to build up play and even helps out defensively.

Kane has scored 21 goals and provided 13 assists in 31 Premier League matches and scored three goals and gave two assists in five Europa League games this season.

Tottenham are still in the running for the Champions League places in the Premier League table this season, and Kane’s goals will be key in that quest.
