Second-half goals from Erik Lamela and Harry Kane proved to be enough for Tottenham to progress to the quarter-finals.
On Thursday, Mason took to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at the victory over Brighton and appeared ready for the weekend.
Tottenham will take on Aston Villa away from home in the Premier League on Sunday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are currently 11th in the league table with 11 points from nine matches and need to go on a winning run in order to get back on track for a top-four finish.
Mason has yet to score in the league for Spurs, having created two chances in four appearances so far this season. The 23-year-old has a pass accuracy of 79% and a shot accuracy of 40%.
