Striker Kane netted a brace against Belgrade and was back to his usual best as Spurs secured a much-needed victory after a number of confidence-draining performances.
The result and performance has perhaps come at the right time for the club given the fact that they will take on the Premier League champions at the weekend.

Kane is going to be very crucial for Spurs in these coming weeks and whether they can add to their win against Red Star.
The performances from the players haven’t been up to scratch and Mauricio Pochettino needs his best players to stand up in these coming weeks.
If Tottenham’s performances continue to go the wrong way then their chances of reaching the next stages of the Champions League will be harmed, as will their chances of finishing in the top-four.
As mentioned above, next up for Spurs is a trip to Anfield where they will be taking on a Liverpool side who are yet to be beaten in the league this season.
That game will perhaps suit Pochettino’s players because most of the pressure will be on Jurgen Klopp’s side given their form and league position.
