Tottenham coach Mason applauded West Ham star Rice on Twitter.

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ryan Mason has hammered the officials after Sadio Mane’s goal for Liverpool was adjudged onside against West Ham United on Monday night – before applauding Declan Rice’s display.
West Ham stole two crucial points off of Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title at the London Stadium, as Michail Antonio cancelled out Mane’s 12th goal of the season – and third in three league games.
The Hammers had chances to win the match through Javier Hernandez, Mark Noble and even Andy Carroll, but they failed to capitalise. The point sees Liverpool’s lead at the top reduced to three over Manchester City.
Mason’s former side are just five points behind Jurgen Klopp’s men, and the Spurs youth coach took to Twitter to criticise assistant referee Matt Wilkes for ruling James Milner onside before he crossed to Mane. Mason also praised Rice.
Mane’s excellent swivel and finish but Antonio equalised just six minutes later, latching on to Felipe Anderson’s quick free-kick before finishing past Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson with aplomb.
Rice was crucial at the base of West Ham’s midfield alongside captain Noble, breaking play up and feeding the likes of Antonio, Anderson and Javier Hernandez. It leaves the Hammers in 12th place.
