Brendan Rodgers opted to make the surprise switch from Celtic to Leicester City.

talkSPORT pundit Ryan Mason has claimed that if Brendan Rodgers wins a trophy with Leicester City then it would be a ‘better job’ than what he achieved at Celtic.
The former Tottenham midfielder also claimed that winning things with the Bhoys is ‘easy’ as he backed Rodgers decision to leave Parkhead last week.
During his time in Scotland, Rodgers won seven domestic trophies, including going unbeaten in his first season and putting the team on course to win the treble-treble for this campaign.
Speaking to the Final Word on talkSPORT (03/04/2019 at 5:40 pm), former Premier League player, Mason made some bold claims about Rodgers’ decision to take the Leicester job.
“It might sound crazy because Celtic win trophies and they are a massive club but if I am in that position, you are making that switch as well,” Mason told talkSPORT. “I highly doubt many managers would stay up there on the back of what he has achieved.
“Realistically, they are not going to mount a challenge in Europe because they are not good enough. If he wins a trophy with Leicester that’s arguably a better job than he has done at Celtic because Celtic winning things it’s easy.”

Since Rodgers left Celtic, the reaction from the supporters has unanimously been against him as he has more or less tarnished his legacy at the club.
He took charge of his first game as Foxes manager over the weekend, with his side conceding a last-minute goal to Watford and losing the game 2-1.
Whether winning a trophy will be on Rodgers agenda remains to be seen but potentially securing European football with the Midlands outfit will be one of his targets in the near future.
During his time in England, Rodgers is yet to win a trophy as he came close to lifting the Premier League title during his time at Liverpool.
