Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has allowed Barjonas to leave Ibrox on loan.

Rangers midfielder Jamie Barjonas arrives at Bury highly recommended by Steven Gerrard.
That is according to the Rangers manager’s Shakers counterpart Ryan Lowe – whose friendship with Gerrard stretches back more than 20 years.
Barjonas will spend the next five months away from Ibrox on loan after backing up his boss’s testimonial.
And Lowe told Bury’s official website on Wednesday: “I’m delighted to have signed Jamie on loan until January. We were looking for another player in that area, and with the links between Bury and Rangers, and myself and Steven Gerrard, upon enquiry Jamie came highly recommended.
“I think when someone like Steven Gerrard recommends to you a midfielder with the career he has had then you don’t look twice at it; you’ve got to take it, and that’s what we’ve done.

“Jamie came down to train with us for a few days, and he was outstanding in training; he fitted the bill for what we are after. I’m really looking forward to working with him from now until January.”
Barjonas’s move only strengthens the link between Bury and Rangers, who visited Gigg Lane for a pre-season friendly at the start of July.
And he may not be the last player to move between the two clubs whilever Lowe and Gerrard remain at the helm.

Barjonas, who was born in Leeds but boasts youth caps for Scotland, is a graduate of Rangers’ academy system and has played nine times for the senior team at Ibrox.
This will be the 19-year-old’s first spell away from his parent club, to whom he is contracted until June 2020.
