Ryan Kent secured a late move to Rangers from Liverpool on Monday.

Ryan Kent of Rangers celebrates after he scores during The Ladbrokes Scottish Premier League match between Celtic and Rangers at Celtic Park on March 31, 2019 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Ryan Kent has stated on Instagram that he ‘heard there’s a party’ after he secured a permanent contract with Rangers on Monday evening.

The Gers announced on their official Twitter account late on transfer deadline day that the Liverpool winger had signed for the club after being on a season-long loan during the previous campaign.

That announcement no doubt lifted the spirits at Ibrox because they had just recently suffered a home defeat against their Old Firm rivals.

Nonetheless, this is what Kent posted on his personal Instagram account in what was his first message to the Rangers supporters since joining.

Now that Kent has signed on the dotted line with Steven Gerrard’s side he will be now hoping to guide them to the Scottish Premiership title.

Last season, he did well to help Gerrard produce the goods for the first half of the campaign, but they fell away towards the end, something they will be looking to put right.

For most of the games, Rangers have looked strong in attack, but Kent’s arrival will add that extra bite and firepower heading into what will be a hectic season.
