Glasgow Rangers winger Ryan Kent has missed the Ibrox side’s last two games due to a hamstring injury.

Rangers were dealt a big blow ahead of their most recent Europa League tie with Steven Gerrard confirming, in comments reported by Sky Sports, that Ryan Kent would miss the game due to a hamstring injury.
Kent has been one of the Gers’ best signings this term. When Gerrard’s men have struggled, it has often been the Liverpool loanee who has looked most likely to create something.
Some may have expected it to be a huge boost for Rangers when Kent makes his return to the side. But given how the Gers have performed in the two games that he has been missing for, it appears that the winger is now facing a battle that no-one would have expected him to have when he initially sustained the injury.
While Rangers did lose to Spartak Moscow, they have scored a staggering 10 goals in their last two games. Their wingers across the pair of fixtures have scored four of those goals and provided three more.

The likes of Glenn Middleton, Daniel Candeias and Eros Grezda have shown the kind of form that has meant that Rangers have not missed Kent that much. And it is difficult to see how Gerrard can throw Kent straight back in when he does return.
None of the three wingers who have featured in the last two games deserve to be dropped when you consider what they have provided in attack, so perhaps Kent could face a slightly frustrating spell when he does return.
But if that proves to be the case, it can only act as a positive and send out a remarkable statement that Gerrard can turn to his bench and see that he can throw the Liverpool youngster on when a change is needed.
