The 19-year-old is trying to prove himself to Mark Warburton having left Glasgow Rangers on loan.

Ryan Hardie has explained to the Evening Times that he regularly speaks to Kenny Miller when he gets the opportunity to return to Rangers during his loan spell, before disclosing the advice the veteran passed on.
The 19-year-old has made just a handful of appearances for the Gers since Mark Warburton’s arrival last summer, having spent much of that time out on loan.

After enjoying a good spell with Raith Rovers in the second-half of last season, Hardie completed a move to St Mirren until January during the summer.
However, he still spends much of his time during the week at Murray Park, and he explained how he is frequently picking Miller’s brain in an attempt to boost his first-team chances upon his return to Ibrox.
Rangers’ Kenny Miller
“When I am back in at training, Kenny Miller is one of the main guys that I speak to. If I need any advice, he is always there and he has been really good with me,” he told the Evening Times.
“He told me to go out and play if I could and that it would improve me greatly. He went to Stenhousemuir when he was young so talking to him is a big help.
“His experience and the things he has done as a player is incredible. To have someone like that in the squad is great.

“Every club needs good players and competition in every position. The manager has brought good players so it is a challenge that I have to rise to if I want to be in the team.”
With Miller’s experience to learn from in conjunction with his current form, it appears that the youngster does stand a good chance of forcing his way into Warburton’s plans on a much more regular basis in the future.
Hardie has scored three times in the Scottish Championship this term, while also scoring twice for the Gers’ under-20s side in the Challenge Cup, and with the current strikers struggling for goals in recent times, that kind of form may tempt the manager into giving him a chance upon his return in the winter.
