Ryan Giggs has hailed Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey came off the bench to enjoy a dream cameo against Fulham on Sunday – but his future appears to be away from the Gunners.

The midfielder was only on the bench against Fulham, but came on to score a sumptuous backheel from a swift counter-attack, before setting away Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to make it 5-1.

With a goal and an assist to his name in just a matter of minutes on the pitch, Ramsey again showed his quality – and left many wondering just why he looks set to leave Arsenal in 2019.

The Welshman is out of contract in the summer, and BBC Sport report that Arsenal have now pulled his contract offer, meaning he is currently set to walk away.

After more than 10 years with Arsenal, in which he has racked up 59 goals in 338 games, Ramsey looks to be on the move, and he may yet join a Premier League rival.

The Mirror report that Liverpool will lead the chase for Ramsey having wanted him over the summer, and whether it’s in January or the summer, Ramsey is thought to be ‘excited’ about potentially playing for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp.

Whether a deal goes through or not remains to be seen, but Ramsey has now been hailed by his Wales manager and ex-Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs.

Giggs has told The Mirror that he thinks Ramsey can be a 15-goal-a-season midfielder, and backed him to play for any elite club despite his injury woes over the years, adding that whoever signs Ramsey – and it could well be Liverpool – they will be getting a ‘very good player’.

“He’s a goal-scoring midfielder, who, if he plays 40 to 45 games, is going to get you 15 goals,” said Giggs. “Aaron’s a good character, he has a good personality and is a good professional. So if he does go, somebody is getting a very good player.”

“He can play anywhere, in any league, for any elite club. He’s played at Arsenal for 10 years – and all these games for Wales. Aaron’s had a lot of injuries, but I watched him against Cardiff – and he played the whole game. And when he came away with us last time, I thought he was in fantastic form,” he added.
