West Ham United were beaten 2-0 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last night.

West Ham went into the break 1-0 down at Stamford Bridge, and they had only managed one shot in the first 45 minutes of the contest.
The Hammers did not compete well at all until the break, but Pellegrini’s frustrated team-talk did spark an improvement in the second period.
And Fredericks feel that West Ham could have got a point in the end, if they had been more ruthless in front of goal.
“We didn’t play our stuff and the manager told us that he wasn’t happy with the first half – and rightly so. We came out for the second and we were a bit better,” the right-back said.
“We had a couple of chances and, on another day, maybe Arnie’s header goes in or Cresswell’s shot might go in. But they are a world-class side with world-class players, and on their day, it is hard to stop them.”

West Ham were ultimately undone by two goals from Eden Hazard, who was in great form.
Hazard tormented the West Ham defence all night, as Pellegrini’s side struggled to contain the Belgian.
West Ham’s defeat has left them in 11th place in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Manchester United at the weekend.
