Ryan Fredericks is bouncing back from a slow start at West Ham United.

Ryan Fredericks’ West Ham career did not get off to the best start. The Hammers conceded seven goals in his first two appearances for the club, and, remarkably, he went into last week’s clash with Fulham still waiting for the chance to be on a winning side in the Premier League.
The right-back seemingly struggled to find his feet following his move from Craven Cottage in the summer and was largely sidelined as Pablo Zabaleta impressed during the opening months of the season.
But based on his last couple of performances, it appears that Fredericks is going to prove a lot of his doubters at the London Stadium wrong.
He did well against his former club last Friday, but was outstanding against Manchester City this week. It was the kind of performance that may be looked back upon in the coming months and years as a key moment in Fredericks’ spell with the Hammers.

But Fredericks is not the first player to surprise the West Ham supporters with his turnaround this season.
Before this campaign, there seemed to be a big question mark regarding what role Robert Snodgrass would play. His impressive loan at Aston Villa last year did not exactly restore all of the fans’ confidence after a disappointing initial spell with the Irons, and some probably would have been happy to see him sold before the season began.

But Pellegrini has shown a lot of faith in the Scot, and he is arguably now one of the most popular players amongst the fans. He may not steal the headlines in the same way that some of his teammates do, but he is an extremely valuable member of the squad.
And based on Fredericks’ last couple of appearances, it appears that the full-back is now enjoying a similar turnaround.
