Fredericks and Yarmolenko have teamed up on West Ham’s right flank during pre-season.

New West Ham United defender Ryan Fredericks has told the club’s official website that he and fellow new recruit Andriy Yarmolenko can combine on the right side of defence during 2018-19.
Fredericks, 25, joined the club on a free transfer from Fulham as Manuel Pellegrini’s first summer signing, before Ukraine international Yarmolenko joined the club from German giants Borussia Dortmund for £17.5million (Evening Standard).
The former Spurs defender has lined up on the right side of defence throughout pre-season, with Yarmolenko in front of him on the right flank in Pellegrini’s new-look Hammers outfit.
Fredericks discussed the partnership between the two new signings and reckons there is scope for improvement, as well as discussing the signing of the former Dynamo Kiev wizard.
“Yarmo is an exciting player. I think we complement each other quite well. He can go 1v1 and also come inside and link the play and I can get around him and leave him to do his bits 1v1,” Fredericks said.
“We’ve both got a bit of pace and that, so we look like we could show a little combination down that side.”

West Ham drew 2-2 with Championship side Preston North End on Saturday as the Hammers continue their preparation for the upcoming Premier League campaign.
They still have another two Championship sides to face – in the form of Aston Villa and Ipswich Town – before the club face Liverpool on August 12 at Anfield.
