Ryan Fredericks sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, after completing his move to the London Stadium from Fulham, and suggested that he made the switch to east London because the Hammers are one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old joined West Ham on a free transfer, following the expiration of his contract with the Cottagers, and he could go on to become a real hit at the London Stadium.
Fredericks is an attacking full-back, with his game being based around explosive pace, and his inclusion in the Hammers side should give them a totally different threat down the right hand side.
The Englishman spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, after completing his move to West Ham, and opened up on how excited he is to begin his career with the Hammers:
“West Ham is one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League. Everyone knows the history of West Ham and there’s a lot of factors that brought me to the club. It’s an exciting time for West Ham. The club have just brought in a new manager in Manuel Pellegrini, and it just felt like for the next step of my career, I would be best suited coming here.”
The east London outfit endured a miserable Premier League campaign last term, but with Manuel Pellegrini now at the helm, there is genuine optimism emanating from the club for the first time in a very long time.
And with the likes of Fredericks linking up with West Ham, Hammers fans will be expecting a far more successful season this time around.
