Newcastle United supporters will be hoping for a busy summer when the transfer window re-opens in a few months time.

Newcastle United will further showcase their ambition if Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser lands on their doorstep in the summer and it may well increase Rafa Benitez’s chances of staying at the club.

The Chronicle claim that the Magpies have been looking at the 25-year-old ahead of a potential summer transfer, a potential move that will no doubt excite the St James’ Park faithful.

During the January transfer window, the Magpies smashed their transfer record by signing Atlanta midfielder Miguel Almiron, and despite being quiet on the pitch in recent weeks, he has lifted spirits in the North East.

There is no doubt that Fraser would do just that if he were to sign for Newcastle because he has gone from strength to strength this season and has been one of the best performing attackers in the league.

Despite his small size, he is very powerful on the ball, can go both ways, is versatile and can play a possession-based game or be a real threat on the counter – the latter would definitely suit Benitez’s style.

Added with that, if the controversial Mike Ashley gives the nod for this type of deal then it will only give Rafa the belief that he should stay at the club because those above him are being ambitious.
