Leeds United youngster looking forward to more chances

Young striker Ryan Edmondson has been prolific for the under-23s this season.
The 17-year-old has already appeared for the first team, but it’s been a while.
Edmondson made his debut under Paul Heckingbottom, replacing Kemar Roofe against QPR in May 2018.
Edmondson has only made one appearance since, another brief one as a substitute earlier this season.
He sent a message to fans on Sunday evening, looking back to his debut 11 months ago.
Interesting timing
Being that this was 11 months rather than a year, there was no obvious reason for the youngster to post this now.
This suggests Edmondson may be getting a little restless waiting for another chance.
He has scored 14 times for the under-23 this season, helping them win their division title.

Leeds’ first team drew another blank at the weekend, with Patrick Bamford struggling in front of goal and Kemar Roofe failing to make the breakthrough upon his return off the bench.
Edmondson was not even on the bench, something manager Marcelo Bielsa might have to reconsider.
Next up, he will feature for the under-23s in the Premier League Cup against Newcastle tomorrow.
After that, perhaps the first team beckons.
