Ryan Edmondson bagged the crucial goal as Leeds United’s under-23s picked up an impressive victory.

Ryan Edmondson has taken to Twitter to express his delight at scoring the winning goal during Leeds United’s under-23 victory over Notts County on Friday that leaves the Whites second in their Premier League Cup group.
Carlos Corberan’s men went into the game third in the table, one point behind Southampton after beating the Saints 3-2 in the previous fixture in the competition.
It was Edmondson who bagged the winner on that night. And he repeated the trick on Friday as he found the back of the net to make the score 2-1 and lift the Whites ahead of the Saints heading into the final group game.
Leeds put out a strong side, with the likes of Gaetano Berardi, Stuart Dallas, Tyler Roberts and Izzy Brown all starting. And it was Brown who put the Whites in front from the penalty spot after being brought down by the goalkeeper as he latched onto a long ball from Berardi.

Notts County equalised in the second-half, but Edmondson was then there to smash home the winner from close range as he got between the two defenders.
Given the quality within Leeds’s side on the night, it will do Edmondson’s confidence the world of good to make such a crucial impact once again for the Whites.

And after the game, he took to social media to comment on the victory and scoring the decisive goal…
