Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Ed Williams from Kidderminster Harriers.

Williams has already taken his tally for the season to seven league goals in National League North, with his latest coming in the first minute of their 3-2 win over Altrincham at the weekend.
The Non-League Paper reports that Williams is now wanted by Leeds, Aston Villa, Derby County and Ipswich Town. And while it may not be the kind of rumour that captures the imagination initially, Leeds’ track record suggests that stepping up their interest in the 23-year-old is a gamble worth taking.
Leeds have signed both Ryan Edmondson and Sam Dalby from non-league clubs over the last year. And while Dalby is awaiting his first-team debut and Edmondson is hardly established in Marcelo Bielsa’s side yet, it appears that both deals are going to prove to be inspired in the coming years.

Dalby is showing a lot of promise, and Edmondson is arguably the brightest prospect – alongside Jack Clarke – coming through a Leeds academy that is churning out exciting players almost with ease at the moment.
If Leeds feel that Williams is talented enough to make the kind of impact that they are expecting from Edmondson and Dalby in the coming seasons, then they should have few doubts about pursuing a deal, regardless of which division he would be arriving from.
