Leeds United youngster Ryan Edmondson was on target again for the under-23s in a 3-0 victory.

Edmondson netted in the win over Ipswich, along with goals from Clarke Odour and Gaetano Berardi.

This was Edmondson’s 15th goal of the season for the under-23 side, continuing a strong run off form.

He has what Patrick Bamford currently lacks

For a striker, talent is half the battle. The other half is confidence.

Leeds’ £7 million first team forward Patrick Bamford is lacking it, coming up short in recent defeats to Sheffield United and Birmingham City.

Edmondson is full of it, and that’s why he deserves a first team call up.

His involvement yesterday means a role on the bench is unlikely tonight, but not impossible.

If Bamford fails to deliver against Preston, manager Marcelo Bielsa won’t be able to ignore in form teenager Edmondson much longer.
