Ryan Edmondson was full of praise for the Leeds United supporters ahead of the club’s Carabao Cup clash on Tuesday night.
Ryan Edmondson has taken to Twitter to laud the Leeds United fans after the club posted on social media suggesting that nearly 30,000 fans are expected to attend the Whites’ Carabao Cup tie with Stoke City on Tuesday.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are looking to get their second win over the Potters in a matter of days after thrashing Nathan Jones’ men 3-0 at the bet365 Stadium in their latest Championship fixture at the weekend.
This time however, they meet at Elland Road in the cup. And despite the competition surely sitting much further down the list of priorities than the league, it appears that the two teams will play in front of a packed ground.
The club announced on Twitter that 7,000 tickets had been sold in the last two days and nearly 30,000 supporters are set to be present. And that prompted under-23 starlet Edmondson to comment on the Leeds United fanbase.

It will be interesting to see whether Edmondson plays any part in the game against Stoke. He recently made his first under-23 appearance of the season, and it would not be a big surprise to see Patrick Bamford rested.
Eddie Nketiah will surely start the game if he is fit, but Bielsa may be tempted to include Edmondson on the bench and perhaps consider throwing him on at some stage in the contest.
It would be a fantastic opportunity for Edmondson to prove that he can make an impact for the first-team this season – especially given that they have been drawn against Championship opposition – and to impress the supporters who will be hoping to be singing his name for years to come.
