Ryan Christie is back at parent club Celtic and aiming to impress Brendan Rodgers after two loan spells at Aberdeen.

Ryan Christie has admitted to STV that it is make or break time for him at Celtic.
The 23-year-old is travelling with Celtic to Austria for their pre-season tour as he bids to finally get his Hoops career underway.
Christie, who has only managed 10 first-team outings for the Parkhead side since joining from Inverness in 2015, has enjoyed two loan spells at Aberdeen which spanned 18 months.

In that time, the Scotland international, who has two caps under his belt, has come on a lot, but he revealed to STV that he faces a defining period as a Celtic player now, as he looks to impress manager Brendan Rodgers over the coming weeks.

He said: “It’s big. A couple of people have said that, and I know it myself, that it’s probably make or break time for me at Celtic.
“So I need to prove to the manager and the rest of the people at the club that I am good enough to play here. That’ll be my aim over pre-season.”
Christie certainly has the talent and it will be interesting to see if he can indeed convince Rodgers to keep him around for the 2018-19 campaign.
Rodgers, who has won six of a possible six domestic trophies since taking the reins in Glasgow two years ago, has heightened the standard needed to play for the Bhoys and although Christie is undoubtedly talented, impressing at Aberdeen is not enough.
He will need to make a series of big statements during the pre-season campaign, both in training and in the friendlies, and if he does then it could be the start of a very promising stint under the Northern Irishman.
