Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers lost against Motherwell in the Scottish League Cup at the weekend.

Rangers were fired up ahead of the Scottish League Cup semi-final tie against Motherwell at Hampden Park in Glasgow at the weekend.
The Glasgow giants headed into the game last Sunday afternoon on the back of a 3-0 victory over St Johnstone away from home in the Scottish Premiership.
There were signs that the Ibrox outfit had recovered from their defeat to Celtic in the Old Firm derby, and confidence was high in the camp.
Ahead of the match, Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha said that there were only two options for the team – to win or to win.
“We only have two options — to win or win,” said Caixinha, as quoted by The Scottish Sun.
Rangers stars Daniel Candeias and Fabio Cardoso echoed their manager’s views by posting the following messages on social networking site Twitter before the game.

Things, though, did not work out for Rangers, as they lost the semi-final tie 2-0 to Motherwell, thanks to two goal from striker Louis Moult in the second half.
Motherwell striker Ryan Bowman has now reminded the Rangers team about those ‘win-win’ comments.
“Outside the football club everyone was writing us off, it was a Rangers and Celtic final,” the 25-year-old told The Glasgow Evening Times. “A couple of the players were even tweeting ‘win or win’ and that gives us even more bite and fire.”

Meanwhile, Rangers defender Bruno Alves has revealed to The Scottish Sun that his Portugal international teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe ask him about life at Ibrox.
“I speak to them all the time about clubs I’ve been at,” Alves told The Scottish Sun. “Cristiano played in Manchester so he knows about Scottish football and Rangers.
“Pepe also played against Rangers before when we were in the same team. Everybody knows about football here in Scotland. I spoke about how intense the game is here, and how physical it is. Pepe is like ‘my style is also liking confrontations’.
“Maybe it’s a place one day he can come to play because he will be pleased. I don’t know if it’s possible because he’s now playing for Besiktas in Turkey but football is so small. Everything can happen.”
