Wolves man Ryan Bennett spoke to reporters after his side’s disappointing defeat to Tottenham on Saturday, and took time to praise his teammate Morgan Gibbs-White, after the youngster’s excellent cameo performance against Spurs, as quoted by the Express & Star.

The 18-year-old began his career with Wolves, progressing steadily through the youth ranks, and he is now beginning to establish himself as a key part of the senior setup at Molineux.

Gibbs-White helped change the game against Tottenham when he came on for the lacklustre Joao Moutinho in the 61st minute, and Wolves fans should be really excited about the youngster’s undoubted potential.

Bennett spoke to reporters after Saturday’s game, and admitted that it continues to surprise him how young Gibbs-White actually is, considering the levels he has already reached, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“He came on and injected some energy. He’s got that ability, he goes past people with ease. He’s a confident lad. His quality is undoubted. It’s only a matter of time before we start seeing him on a regular basis. Because he’s been with us since day one, you don’t look at him as a young lad. In certain situations in training you say ‘who is the youngest?’ and it’s him and that takes you by surprise. He shows it every single day, he fits in like one of the lads.”

Next up for Wolves is a trip to Arsenal on Sunday, and Gibbs-White will be hoping for another chance to impress his manager at the Emirates.
