Ryan Bennett became Wolverhampton Wanderers’ first signing of the summer.
Ryan Bennett has joined Wolves
Ryan Bennett has told Wolves’ official website that he made the decision to make the move to Molineux because he felt that the club boasted the most ambition of any of the offers that were on the table.
Bennett became the Championship side’s first signing of the summer, signing a three-year deal following the expiration of his contract with second tier rivals Norwich City.

And Bennett has hinted that making the decision on his future came down to which club presented him with the best chance of reaching the Premier League in the coming years.
“It was just a case of me picking which club had the most ambition within what I want to do,” he told the club’s official website.
Bennett is targeting taking Wolves to the Premier League
“You speak to people and this club’s stood out with the ambition and the way they’re going to move forward, that’s what stood out to me and it’s something that I want to be part of.”
“I’ve played in the Premier League and that’s something that everyone wants to do,” he would later add.
“I’m lucky enough to have done it but I want to do it again – you won’t speak to anyone who’s done it, who doesn’t want to do it again.”
Bennett becomes Nuno Espirito Santo’s first signing
The 27-year-old will be relied upon to provide the kind of quality that Wolves will need to get into the promotion mix and perhaps reach the top flight, having played at the highest level with the Canaries – after being brought to Carrow Road by Paul Lambert whose departure from Wolves was confirmed this week.
That experience arguably makes his signing a very astute piece of business from Wolves as they look to put the disappointment of this past season behind them, and the supporters will be hoping Bennett is the first of many new faces to come through the door who appear capable of elevating Nuno Espirito Santo’s team up the table next season.
