Dutch legend Ruud van Nistelrooy talks up Tottenham’s Harry Kane.

Kane netted twice for England in their 4-0 win over Malta at the weekend and is becoming a reliable goalscorer for his country.
The Spurs striker has won the Premier League Golden Boot the last two seasons and while he has not scored for his club yet this season, Van Nistelrooy has been impressed by his overall record and performances.

Former Manchester United star Van Nistelrooy said: “Harry Kane to me looks like a great professional, somebody who works hard to get the maximum out of himself. He shows that out on the pitch.
“I think for Spurs he is a great player, a leader as well. That also goes for England. Added to that of course he is a great goalscorer.
“He is a true No.9 – a strong and forceful centre-forward who is always a reference point during the build-up play.”

Van Nistelrooy was known as the ultimate penalty box predator and his praise of Kane is real reason for the Spurs striker to be proud.
The Dutchman only won the Golden Boot once, a tally which would have been more had it not been for prolific Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, who earned the trophy four times.
Van Nistelrooy scored 95 Premier League goals in 150 games for United, a figure Kane is fast catching.
The Tottenham striker has 78 goals in 116 games and his tally of 29 last season was more than Van Nistelrooy ever managed in a league campaign for United (25).
No wonder the Dutchman is impressed.
