Leeds fans were treated to their first glimpse of Georginio Rutter in their 3-1 FA Cup win over Accrington Stanley.
The 20-year-old was making his debut for Leeds after completing a club-record £35.5m move from TSG Hoffenheim earlier this month.
Rutter impressed with some intelligent touches and movement, despite failing to record a goal involvement, although one moment in the 64th minute left him far from happy.
What’s the story?
Well, the Frenchman was all set for a debut goal earlier today when Luis Sinisterra skipped past a few challenges to put himself one-on-one with Toby Savin, where Rutter was stood beside him waiting for a tap in.
However, the Colombia international opted to take a shot rather than square the ball for his new teammate, only to see his effort fly over the crossbar.

The Leeds No.24 was not pleased – to say the least – as Martin Keown noticed on commentary duty for BBC One.
The 56-year-old noticed that “Rutter was going berserk” after Sinisterra ignored him, and rightly so.
Eventually, there was no bad blood between the pair as Rutter could be seen celebrating with the South American after he tapped in a cross from Jack Harrison to make amends for his miss.
Leeds fans should be pleased with Rutter debut
In our view, there were plenty of positives to take from Rutter’s debut despite his lack of a goal involvement.
The France Under-21 international hasn’t played since November, but after shaking off some rustiness in the opening 45 minutes, he began to look alive in the second half.
As SofaScore shows, Rutter had five shots in total and completed two successful dribbles, while also registering one key pass – he also would have most likely had a debut goal to his name if Sinisterra squared the ball.
With some more sessions at Thorp Arch under his belt, Leeds fans should expect to see great things from their new record signing.
