Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has shown his ruthless streak previously.

Serge Aurier should not be getting too comfortable at Tottenham Hotspur if his error prone streak continues.
If he is not struggling to take a throw-in correctly then he is often giving away a penalty, costing his side in midweek against Brighton.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino would be mad to select the Ivorian in the FA Cup semi-final with Manchester United, and that’s no way to feel about a £24 million investment.

Unfortunately for Aurier, Pochettino has a ruthless streak and is not afraid to ditch his signings after just one season.
Ask Benjamin Stambouli, Clinton N’Jie, Vincent Janssen or Federico Fazio, who were either sold, loaned, or sent to the reserves after just one year playing in Pochettino’s first team.
Aurier was bought to challenge Kieran Trippier for the right-back spot, but there should be legitimate discussion as to whether youngster Kyle Walker-Peters is a better option.

Former PSG defender Aurier has pedigree, he’s played in World Cups and won titles in France, so Pochettino may give him longer than those who he’s quickly discarded.
Yet if Aurier gets worse instead of better between now and the end of the season, it would not be surprise to see Spurs try to sell him just months after signing him.
