Glasgow Rangers made it three wins from four as the Ibrox side clinched a 2-1 victory on Sunday.

Russell Martin of Rangers is seen during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Aberdeen at Ibrox Stadium on January 24, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Russell Martin has told Rangers’ official website that he thought that the travelling Gers supporters were unbelievable during the side’s win over Ross County on Sunday and insisted that that kind of reaction was one of the main draws for his Ibrox move.

Martin was one of a number of signings that the Scottish Premiership side have made during the January transfer window, and like Jamie Murphy and Sean Goss, he has been in the starting lineup for both games since his move.

Rangers imanager Graeme Murty is seen during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Aberdeen at Ibrox Stadium on January 24, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

And after helping Rangers make it three wins out of four in the league as they won 2-1 away at Ross County, Martin could not praise the visiting fans high enough for their efforts.

“It was unbelievable and like a home game with the amount of noise they made! It was one of the main draws of playing for this football club, and you have to come away and send them home happy with something,” he told the club’s official website when asked about the travelling Rangers fans.

“I think we did that today”

Having that kind of crowd support can undoubtedly have a positive impact on the side in the games like the one against Ross County where the Gers are not quite at their best and are unable to completely pull away from their opponents.

And while on paper, the Gers should comfortably make it three wins from three in their next game, the fact that they will be under a huge amount of pressure to beat Fraserburgh and book their place in the next round of the Scottish Cup could mean that the crowd have a hugely important role to play if Graeme Murty’s men are not quite at their best on the night.
