Steve Bruce could hand Rushian Hepburn-Murphy a chance in Aston Villa’s first team soon.

Rushian Hepburn-Murphy (2nd R) of Aston Villa replaces Scott Sinclair (1st R) during the Barclays Premier League match between Aston Villa and Newcastle United at Villa Park on May 7, 2016...

Aston Villa fans have been quick to encourage Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, after he confirmed his comeback is close on social media website Twitter.

Hepburn-Murphy has been out with injury recently, but is closing in on a comeback.

The young striker is already counting down the days until Villa’s development squad’s upcoming clash with Sheffield United in the cup.

However, Villa fans believe that Hepburn-Murphy may have to have his sights set on bigger games in the near future.

The claret and blues are currently struggling with options up-front, with Jonathan Kodjia recently ruled out with injury.

And Villa supporters appear to be hoping that Steve Bruce gives Hepburn-Murphy his chance in the near future.

Villa’s only fit senior striker is currently Keinan Davis, with the likes of Kodjia, Gabriel Agbonlahor and Scott Hogan all sidelined.

Bruce’s side’s next match comes against Ipswich Town at the weekend, and a victory would help the Villans continue to put pressure on the top two.
