Aston Villa talent is back in training.

Rushian Hepburn-Murphy (2nd R) of Aston Villa replaces Scott Sinclair (1st R) during the Barclays Premier League match between Aston Villa and Newcastle United at Villa Park on May 7, 2016...

A year ago momentum was building for Aston Villa striker Rushian Hepburn-Murphy to get a first team chance.

The talented striker was impressing for Villa’s under-23 side and speculation linked him with a move away from the club.

Steve Bruce refused to pick him for Villa until he signed a new contract and when he eventually did, Hepburn-Murphy started picking up injuries.

2017 has therefore been a frustrating year for the 19-year-old, but he has now made his return to first team training.

The teenager realises he has a way to go to play for the first team, but is feeling positive.

Hepburn-Murphy has six first team appearances to his name, and has played once this season, featuring for 21 minutes in a Carabao Cup fixture.

The young striker could yet go on to play a big role in Villa’s promotion campaign, and the club will be careful not to rush his comeback so that he can feature in the second half of the season.
