After the match, the 18-year-old posted a rather secretive message on social media – suggesting that he was continuing to wait for more first-team chances.
Hepburn-Murphy’s future at Villa is currently up in the air, with the prospect yet to agree a new contract.
Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have been linked with Hepburn-Murphy in recent times (Daily Record), with the forward’s contract due to expire at the end of the season.
At this moment in time it is unknown whether the academy graduate will pen a new deal with Villa or opt to move elsewhere.
Hepburn-Murphy has made just two appearances for Villa this term in all competitions, with most his action coming at development squad level.
