Amaral was linked with a loan to Sheffield Wednesday last month.

A Bola claims Joao Amaral will choose to join one of two clubs this summer – neither of whom are Sheffield Wednesday.
Jornal Record credited Wednesday with interest in the Benfica winger earlier in the transfer window, although the trail has gone cold in recent weeks.
And it appears Amaral will not be heading to Hillsborough after all, with Chaves and Lech Poznan the options available to the 26-year-old, who according to A Bola knows he will not play for Benfica this season.
The newspaper claims the Eagles would rather Amaral remained in Portugal’s top flight – where he scored nine goals in 29 games last season – which favours Chaves, although Poznan’s offer could be better for the player financially, while also providing him with Europa League football.
It adds, however, that Benfica have yet to decide whether to loan out their summer signing from Vitoria Setubal or sell him on, retaining 50 per cent of economic rights and a repurchase clause.

Sheffield Wednesday, meanwhile, have yet to make a single new signing this summer, and have missed out on rumoured top target Frederico Venancio, who is Amaral’s former teammate.
Former Wednesday midfielder Filipe Melo is currently on Chaves’ books.
