Rangers fans on Twitter have been patiently waiting to see the club’s new kits ahead of the 2021/22 season – and images on social media appear to show the shirt Steven Gerrard’s Scottish champions will wear in the defence of their title.

After the Ibrox giants previously confirmed the home kit would be released in June, fans have been counting down the days until the shirt is finally shown for the first time, with the rumoured shirt appearing to go down well with Rangers fans.

Featuring a white v-neck and large white cuffs on the sleeves, the detailing of the badge and sponsor logos are in gold – complementing the 150th anniversary badge that is used in place of the usual scroll crest.

Looking like classic Rangers shirts of old, there’s a noticeable lack of red on the shirt, and the shirt looks far crisper for it.

With the club releasing four new kits this season, there will be plenty of opportunities for fans to get their hands on the new shirts ahead of a return to the Champions League.

Fans on Twitter were mixed over the shirt though, with some not keen on the gold – although that could change once they see it in person.

Here are some of the comments from fans on Twitter after the rumoured 2021/22 Rangers kit appeared online:
