Nottingham Forest fans expressed their disappointment on Twitter after they lost Matty Cash to Aston Villa today.

The Guardian reported that Cash has made a £16 million move from the City Ground to Villa Park after an outstanding season for the Midland giants.

Whilst Forest fans are understandably disappointed at losing such a key figure, they sent their best wishes to the right-back and backed him to ‘smash’ it in England’s top-tier.

It looked as though Sabri Lamouchi’s men were heading for the play-offs, but an almighty collapse against Stoke City, resulted in them dropping out and Swansea City taking their place.

Cash was instrumental in Forest producing a number of strong performances last term and his qualities on the right-hand side will be welcomed in B6.
