The Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper has enjoyed a fine debut season in the Premier League.
Wolves stopper Rui Patricio sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and shared something that he has noticed since moving to Molineux.
The 31-year-old joined Wolves in the summer from Sporting Lisbon, for a fee believed to be worth £15.8 million according to Record, and he has gone on to make 32 appearances for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, keeping six clean sheets in the process.
The Portugal international has proven to be an excellent addition for the Black Country outfit.
Patricio sat down and spoke to the club’s official website, and shared how he has noticed vast improvements in his game since joining Wolves:
“So, at the end of my first year here, I’ve noticed some rapid growth because it’s a new competition, everything is completely different. The game is different, the tactics are different, the technique is different. It’s been a very good experience. I take advantage of every game and of every training session to grow, to evolve. I will continue to do that. In every training session, I want to develop. I’m happy with the initial phase that I’ve had here.”
Wolves currently sit in eighth spot in the Premier League table, and their dreaming of achieving Europa League football next season is still very much alive.
And if they are to do just that, Patricio will have to be on his best form between now and the end of the season.
