When Saracens took on Harlequins at the London Stadium at the weekend it gave one West Ham United fan a unique take on the ground.

There are no two ways about it, West Ham United fans have not taken to their new London Stadium home.

The Hammers are a club in crisis on and off the pitch.

Supporters are furious over what they feel are a string of broken promises from the board over transfers, ambition, spending and crucially the move to the former Olympic Stadium.

A host of promises were made about what the club would be inheriting at the London Stadium which have not been delivered, chiefly the distance seats are from the pitch and its negative impact it has had on the atmosphere.

Fans want the matchday experience to be improved by making the stadium and surrounding area feel more like West Ham‘s home.

Jackson Wray of Saracens is tackled by Danny Care of Harlequins during the Aviva Premiership match between Saracens and Harlequins at London Stadium on March 24, 2018 in London, England.

Jackson Wray is best known for his performances as a number eight or flanker for rugby union side Saracens.

But he is also a passionate West Ham fan and had the unique opportunity of playing at the controversial stadium at the weekend when his side took on and beat Harlequins 24-11.

After the game he took to Twitter to deliver his verdict on the stadium and had a message of hope for Hammers fans.

“Really enjoyed playing at the London Stadium,” Wray said on Twitter.

“Really impressed with it. It’s only going to get better, good win to top it off .”

According to minutes of a meeting between co-owner David Sullivan and the West Ham United Independent Supporters Association, Wray comments could be true quite literally.

That’s because Sullivan revealed there is a clause allowing the Hammers to make improvements to the ground which the unpopular board will surely be forced to explore in a bid to appease disillusioned supporters.
