Leeds United have announced the signing of Mateusz Bogusz.

A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to respond to the news that the Championship leaders confirmed on their official website that they have completed a deal to sign Mateusz Bogusz – while his former club have also sent the youngster a message.
Bogusz has become the Whites’ second signing of the January transfer window, with the club confirming that the 17-year-old has signed a contract that is set to run until the summer of 2021.
The Whites have also announced that Bogusz will initially join up with Carlos Corberan’s under-23 side. But given how this season has played out for Marcelo Bielsa, there is clearly no guarantee that he will not get the chance to make his senior debut before the campaign concludes.
The news has been met with a largely positive reaction. It is not a move that has caught the supporters off-guard given that Bogusz seems to have been linked with an Elland Road switch for a while, but some fans were hoping the announcement would be concerning another reported target.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that the Whites have made Swansea’s Daniel James a top priority for the final days of the January transfer window, and the fans are clearly hoping that that move gets across the line.
Given some of the other under-23 signings made since the current hierarchy arrived at Leeds, it is no surprise that there is plenty of excitement surrounding Bogusz’s potential.

And the fans were not the only ones to tweet in response to the announcement as his now former club Ruch Chorzow also sent the teenager a message.
Here is the best of the reaction…
