Wolverhampton Wanderers won against Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday.
Wolverhampton Wanderers left wing-back Ruben Vinagre has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Newcastle United.
Nuno’s side got the better of Newcastle 2-1 away from home at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Diogo Jota and Matt Doherty scored the goals for Wolves against the Magpies, who had DeAndre Yedlin sent off in the 57th minute.
Vinagre started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, and the 19-year-old Portugal Under-19 international has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for the Wanderers, with some Wolves fans responding to his message.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at St. James’ Park on Sunday evening, visitors Wolves had 49% of the possession, took 13 shots of which six were on target, and earned six corners, according to BBC Sport.
Against Newcastle on Sunday evening, Vinagre had a pass accuracy of 75.6%, won two headers, and made one tackle, one interception and four clearances, according to WhoScored.
Wolves are now 10th in the Premier League table with 22 points from 16 matches.
