Wolverhampton Wanderers central defender Conor Coady has raved about his teammate and reported Arsenal target Ruben Neves on the club’s official website.

Arsenal interest

The Sun reported earlier this month that Arsenal are keen on signing Neves from Premier League rivals Wolves in the summer transfer window.

The Portugal international midfielder’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is in constant contact with Arsenal technical director Edu.

Wolves are looking for £35 million as transfer fee for the 24-year-old.

What Conor Coady says

Wolves defender Coady is a huge fan of his teammate, and he has raved about Neves.

The English defender told Wolves’ official website when asked about the one teammate whose life he would want to live for one day: “Ruben Neves.

“He has everything; he’s a boy wonder, he has the world at his feet, plays for Portugal, plays with Ronaldo – what a man!”

Exciting for Arsenal

Coady’s comments should excite Arsenal fans.

The defender’s praise is massive indeed.

It shows just how good Neves is and how much more he can offer.

The 24-year-old has done well for Wolves over the years and would make Arsenal a better team in the middle of the park.

Neves could form a strong partnership with Thomas Partey in the Arsenal midfield.

Neves scored five goals and gave one assist in 36 Premier League appearances for Wolves last season.

The Wolves no.8 scored two goals and provided two assists in 38 league games in 2019-20.
