Wolves ace Ruben Neves spoke exclusively to the Express & Star, and shared the message that Nuno Espirito Santo has given to the players ahead of their clash with Derby County tomorrow night.

The Black Country outfit currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table, nine points clear of second placed Cardiff City, but perhaps more importantly, 11 clear of third placed Fulham, and they need just six more points from their final five games to guarantee promotion back to the Premier League.

Neves himself has played a major role in his side’s success this season, after making his £15.8 million switch from Porto in the summer, and his performances have epitomised the manner in which Wolves have gone about their business this season.

The 21-year-old spoke exclusively to the Express & Star about his side’s promotion hopes, and shared what Nuno has told the players ahead of the Championship run-in:

“We understand the (promotion) excitement but like Nuno said we have five games to go and we think game by game. We go into Derby with the same attitude – focused to win.”

Wolves can actually clinch promotion tomorrow night with a win over the Rams, if Fulham fail to beat Reading at Craven Cottage tonight, but considering the Cottager’s recent run of form, that is an unlikely scenario.
