Could new Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha look to bring Micael to Ibrox in the summer?
Ressureicao Ruben Micael – Portugal
Rangers are under new management, with Pedro Caixinha, now in charge at Ibrox. A pivotal figure in the appointment of the Portuguese was Pedro Mendes. The former Rangers midfielder is the agent of Caixinha, who took over from Mark Warburton earlier this month.
Mendes works for the MNM Sports Agency and it is fair to suggest that the club may be looking at some players from that agency to strengthen the team.
One name on that client list may sound familiar to Rangers fans.
Ruben Micael was linked with a move to Rangers in December. The Daily Record reported that Mark Warburton wanted the Portuguese midfield wizard to replace the crocked Niko Kranjcar.
He is currently on loan at Maccabi Tel Aviv from Chinese side Shijiazhuang Ever Bright and has an illustrious list of former clubs – including Porto and Atletico Madrid.

The 30-year-old, who has 16 caps for the Portuguese national team, will be known to Caixinha and would undoubtedly be a brilliant signing for Rangers in the summer.
This is one transfer rumour which will surely come back.
