Everton are said to be in the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek this summer.

According to The Sun’s print edition (page 52, 29th May), Everton are interested in signing Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea and if he was to arrive at Goodison Park, then he could be an even bigger talent than Ross Barkley.
Barkley left Everton to join Chelsea in January, but the England international has barely made an impression at Stamford Bridge.
During the same time, Loftus-Cheek has earned rave reviews for his performances while on loan at Crystal Palace.

The midfielder has been called up to the England squad for the World Cup, and if Everton could bring him in then he would be a stunning addition.
When Barkley was at Goodison Park he was regarded as one the brightest talents in the country.

But Loftus-Cheek now looks like an even bigger prospect, as he possesses almost every attribute required in a modern day midfielder.
Loftus-Cheek is blessed with power, pace and technical ability, and if Everton were to snap up the 22-year-old this summer then he would be the most exciting the Toffees have made for a number of years.
