Kasper Schmeichel joined Leicester City from Leeds United in 2011.

Leeds United fans on Twitter have laughed off claims from Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel that they didn’t like him during his stint at Elland Road.
The Premier League-winning Dane spent the 2010-11 campaign with Leeds, but then quit for Leicester.
Schmeichel, son of Manchester United legend Peter, made 37 Championship appearances for the Whites that season, helping them finish seventh on their return to the second tier.
Despite that, the 32-year-old, speaking to Joe Hart’s Gloved series on YouTube, is adamant that he wasn’t welcome in West Yorkshire and claims that the fans resented him for his who his father was, given the animosity between Leeds and the Red Devils.
Nevertheless, it’s safe to say that the interview hasn’t gone down well with fans of the Elland Road side one bit.
Here’s their reaction:
Schmeichel has since made over 300 Championship and Premier League appearances with Leicester, winning the title there in 2016.
He could and probably should have been gearing up to face Leeds in the top flight next season, but the wheels came off United’s season in spectacular fashion and they wound up missing promotion.
Derby County beat Marcelo Bielsa’s side 4-3 on aggregate, with a grisly second leg at Elland Road, which included an error from goalkeeper Kiko Casilla, undoing them.
